Men's golf wraps up Irish Hills Invitational

TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Albion College men's golf team wrapped up the two-day Irish Hills Invitational on Friday. With a total of 642, the Britons placed ninth. 

After day one, the men were in ninth place, shooting a 319 on Thursday. 

Freshman Ryan Knitter continued his impressive start, shooting a 78 (+6) on the day. One stroke behind him was Brendan Iatrow, who carded a 79 on Thursday.

Both Joey Maniaci and Blake Wagner finished round one with scores of 81. The pair of freshmen was followed by Holden Kile, recording an 88.

Knitter shot a 78 again on Friday to lead the Brits, finishing tied for 17th. Both Wagner and Iatrow shot 79s on Friday afternoon. 

An 87 by Maniaci and a 91 from Kile rounded out the team. 

On Sep. 25, the Brits will play Hillsdale College.
