Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Another scoreless draw for women's soccer

ALBION — For the third time this season, the Albion College women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw. On Tuesday, the Brits played Illinois Wesleyan University to a 0-0 match.

Romee Natschke notched her fifth clean sheet, as Albion moved to 3-0-3 this year.

In the 29th minute, Albion was awarded a free kick. Megan Loney's shot was turned away by a beautiful save from the IWU keeper, preserving the 0-0 score.

IWU was inches away from breaking through in the 39th minute. With Natschke out, the Titan shot appeared to be headed for the goal. Instead, the shot hit post and bounced out for a goal kick, as the teams headed into the half scoreless.

IWU had better looks in the second half, but Natschke remained tough in goal – allowing just one goal through 540 minutes in net this season.

The Britons will play Saturday night in Ohio, taking on Mount St. Joseph. Kick off in Cincinnati is slated for 7 p.m.
