Women's soccer stumbles on the road

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Unable to catch a break on Saturday night, the Albion College women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Mount St. Joseph University. It is the first loss of the season for the Britons, wrapping up non conference action with a 3-1-3 record. 

After a scoreless first half, the Lions were awarded a penalty kick less than a minute into the new half. The shot snuck by the Briton keeper, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead. 

Albion could not find the equalizer, dropping their first contest of the season. 

The Britons held the edge in shots (14-9) but could not find the back of the net. 

On Oct. 1, the Brits open MIAA action at Kalamazoo. Kick off is scheduled for 11 a.m.
