Garland, Thomas combine for 41 in loss

ALBION – It was a tough night for the Albion College men's basketball team, falling 83-69 to Olivet College. The Comets built a commanding lead early on, taking a 15 point advantage into the locker room and never relinquishing. 

Leading the Brits were Ken Thomas and Fred Garland. Thomas scored a team-high 21 points, while Garland added 20. 

After Olivet got ahead early, the Britons were forced to play from behind for the entirety of the contest. Albion trailed by as many as 28 points midway through the second half. 

Lethal from beyond the arc, Olivet shot 52 percent from three. 

Albion was unable to work inside, as the Comets blocked nine of the Britons' shots. 

The Brits will head to Adrian on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip. It will follow the women's game against the Bulldogs.
