ADRIAN, Mich. – Starting off conference action against one dof the league's toughest opponents, the Albion College men's wrestling team fell to Adrian College, 22-13.

Adrian started off the match by taking the first two bouts in decisive fashion, earning a pin and a major decision over the Britons. At 141, freshman Aidan Bernard put together a great match, but ultimately fell short in a tough 14-8 decision.

Sophomore Max Honiss righted the ship at 149, coming away with an 8-5 win. In the opening period, Honiss built a big lead and maintained momentum for the remainder of the match.

The Brits went on to pick up four points at 157, courtesy of Peyton Brooks. The freshman earned his ninth win of the season and first career MIAA victory with a 15-4 major decision.

Adrian took the matches at 165, 174 and 184, increasing their advantage to 22-6 with two matches to go.

Desperately needing points, Bode Brown's win at 197 put the Brits back in control. With an 8-4 win, the sophomore shifted momentum in Albion's favor heading into the heavyweight match.

Sophomore CJ Krum ended the match with a 6-1 win at 285.

Albion is now 5-3 this season in duals, 0-1 early in MIAA matchups.

The team heads to Central College in Iowa for the weekend for two days of competition. On Friday, the Brits will have a pair of duals before competing in the Under Armour Invitational on Saturday.
