Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Turner honored in loss to No. 25 Trine

ALBION – After an emotionally draining week, the Albion College men's basketball team dropped a 92-61 decision to No. 25 Trine University. Playing with a young, shorthanded roster, the experienced Thunder was too much for the hosts. 

Prior to the game, Albion honored legendary coach, Mike Turner, Albion's winningest coach with 527 victories during his tenure. There was a dedication ceremony where the Kresge Gymnasium floor was named in his honor.

Kameron Mayes led Albion with a career-high 20 points, including an efficient 7 of 9 from the line mark. Both Phil Ragan III and Michael Calhoun contributed 12 points, while freshman Nathan Steinman added 10. 

Beck Willems finished with a team-high eight boards and scored seven points. 

Albion will continue conference play on Wednesday with a trip to Kalamazoo. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
