ADRIAN, Mich. – Back on track.

On the road, the Albion College football team got back on track with a 34-21 win at Adrian College. The Britons were led by another strong performance from Luke Lovell and recorded another touchdown on special teams.

Lovell was 20 of 31 for 247 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Fifth year senior Phillip Jones-Price tacked on a rushing and a receiving touchdown, recording 100 all-purpose yards.

Brandon Camfield and Nick Fannon each recorded eight tackles, with Fannon adding one TFL. Junior Michael Pruchnic had a career-high seven tackles in the win.

Albion outscored the Bulldogs 21-0 in the first half. Winning the toss and receiving the opening kickoff, the Britons put together a 59 yard TD drive, after dangerous return man Devin Fridley-Bell ran the kick back for 35 yards. The drive culminated in a 14-yard touchdown rush by Jones-Price.

Before the end of the first quarter, the Britons put another touchdown on the scoreboard. Colby Taylor-Browning had back to back runs of 10+ yards, the second being an 18 yard touchdown. Another good kick from Logan Grwinski pushed Albion ahead 14-0 after one.

The only score of the second quarter came in the waning seconds of the period. Lovell found Jones-Price over the middle for a 32 yard touchdown, putting the visitors in control.

Out of the half, Adrian climbed its way back to make it a one score game heading into the fourth quarter. Albion's special teams stepped up again when Cameron Moore recorded his second touchdown of the season. Moore blocked the Bulldog punt, leading to a 29 yard scoop and score for a 28-14 Albion lead.

The Bulldogs answered back with a touchdown before the Brits extended the lead back to 13 points. Albion's scoring was completed when Lovell located Dilon Denison for a 6-yard touchdown pass.

Next Saturday the Brits play their final road contest of 2023 with a 1 p.m. kickoff at The University of Olivet.
