Men's tennis near perfect in home win

ALBION – A near-perfect match lifted the Albion College men's tennis team to a 9-0 win over Grace Christian University. In the win, the Britons only dropped one set. 

Brett Gurzell and Josh Doyle started off the match with a dominant 8-0 win at first singles. Following it up with an 8-0 victory at second doubles was the duo of Jacob Doyle and Drake Malcolm. The Tigers forfeited third doubles, giving Albion a 3-0 lead. 

Gurzell won his match at first singles, 6-1, 6-0 before freshman Brendan Morrison followed with a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles. 

Malcolm continued the wins rolling at third singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Josh Doyle wrapped up the match with a fourth singles victory (6-0, 6-0).

The Brits will play again on Sunday when they host Baldwin Wallace University. The match is set to start at 12 p.m.
