Doyle wins twice as MTEN falls

ALBION – Josh Doyle picked up two wins Sunday as the Albion College men's tennis team dropped a match to Baldwin Wallace University, 7-2.

After the Yellow Jackets won first and second doubles, the Doyles put the Britons back on track. The freshman team of Josh Doyle and Jacob Doyle earned an 8-3 win at third doubles.

Brett Gurzell dropped a tight 7-5, 6-4 decision at first singles. Junior Drake Malcolm narrowly fell in a tiebreaker at third singles, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0. Albion's lone win in singles play came from Josh Doyle at fourth singles. He won by margins of 6-3, 6-4.

On Wednesday, the Brits will host Spring Arbor University. The match is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
