Women fourth, men seventh at Steven Tyler Memorial

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – On Monday, the Albion College men's and women's golf teams returned to the links at the Steven Tyler Memorial. The women placed fourth overall, shooting a 362, while the men's team shot a 325, good for seventh place.

With an 88 on the scorecard, Emily Abramczyk led the way for Albion, finishing 11th. Both Kenzie Gillette and Taylor Downs recorded an 89, tying for 13th place.

Freshman Helen Buk shot a 96 for the Brits, as Zoe Autore capped off the team scoring with a 101. Competing as an individual was Sabrina Fitzgerald, who shot a 93.

Ryan Knitter and Brendan Iatrow led the Britons, both shooting a 79 on the day. The pair finished tied for 10th overall in the competition. Freshman Blake Wagner was next for Albion, carding an 83, as fellow freshman Joey Maniaci was a stroke behind, finishing with an 84.

Rounding out the team was a score of 93, shot by Dom Orlando. Sophomore Justin Cousins competed as an individual, finishing with a 101.

Over the weekend, the men's team will travel to Wooster, Ohio as the women will wait until next Monday to compete in the Albion Invite.
