Dunn records three hits at Alma

ALMA, Mich. – Late inning struggles hurt the Albion College baseball team in the first game of a three game set with Alma College. The Scots scored four runs in the seventh and eighth, knocking off the Brits, 7-1.

Sophomore Carson Dunn was a perfect 3 for 3 in the game for the Brits. 

Alma broke out to a 3-0 lead after four, as one of the three Scot runs were unearned. Albion's lone run came in the top of the fifth. Dunn drove a double to right center and moved to third with one out on an Alma error. Ryker Mazey lifted a sac fly to right, bringing in Dunn to trim the deficit to 3-1. 

The Scots tacked on a pair of runs in the seventh and two in the eighth to break the game open. 

Albion's hitters struck out nine times in the contest. 

Tomorrow, Albion hosts the Scots for a doubleheader. Game times are scheduled for 1 and 4 p.m.
