WSOC downed in 2023 debut

The Raiders controlled the pace in the season opener

ALBION – Facing a tough opponent in their opener, the Albion College women's soccer team fell short to the Milwaukee School of Engineering, 2-0. The visitors scored once in each half to steal the opening day win from the Brits. 

In the 26th minute, MSOE got on the board off a set piece. A corner was crossed into the box and headed in by the opponents, who held a 1-0 lead at the half. 

The Raiders added to their advantage with just over 10 minutes to play, as a shot ricocheted off an Albion defender into the box. 

Romee Natschke was solid in her debut, making five saves in her first game from injury. 

A quick turnaround is on the books for the Brits, as they return to their home pitch Saturday night. At 5 p.m., Albion will host Ohio Wesleyan University.
