ALBION – An incredible hard-fought battle did not go in favor of the Albion College men's wrestling team, dropping a tight 24-18 decision to Adrian College.

The Bulldogs won the first three bouts, two with bonus points, taking a 13-0 lead early on. Junior co-captain Max Honiss righted the ship with a dominant 22-5 tech fall in the 149 match. Honiss's win put five points on the board for the Brits before an unsportsmanlike conduct was awarded to the Bulldogs, setting the score to 12-5.

At 157, freshman Justin Gorman put up an incredible fight, but ultimately came up short in an 8-7 loss. Peyton Brooks followed with a 15-7 major decision win at 165 to cut the deficit to 15-9.

Adrian took the next two matches to secure the win, but Albion battled to take the final two bouts. Freshman Demond Harrison continued his incredible season with a 14-7 victory at 197 before CJ Krum did what he does best in Kresge Gymnasium – win. The junior sealed the night with a fall in just 1:11 for six points in Albion's direction.

The Britons will wrestle in three duals this weekend at the Dr. Si Ostrach Duals hosted by Case Western Reserve.
