Women's soccer drops MIAA opener

ANGOLA, Ind. – A late goal cost the Albion College women's soccer team in their MIAA opener, dropping a 2-1 decision to Trine University. 

Trine struck early with a goal in the third minute. Albion got on the board in the 12th minute, courtesy of Bella Fabrizio's first collegiate goal. The unassisted goal sent the game into halftime still tied up at one goal apiece. 

WIth 15 minutes remaining, the Thunder scored the go-ahead goal, as the Britons were unable to net the equalizer. 

Both teams finished with 11 shots, but the hosts held the edge in corners with seven compared to just one from Albion. 

On Saturday, the Britons will host The University of Olivet for Homecoming. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
