Kasanic scores in Homecoming draw

ALBION – A late goal cost the Albion College women's soccer team crucial points in the MIAA standings, drawing with The University of Olivet, 1-1. Avery Kasanic provided the Albion goal on her final Homecoming game

After holding possession for nearly the entire first half, the Britons got on the board in the 41st minute. Off a corner kick, freshman Mia Czarnowski played a beautiful ball into the box before Kasanic was able to place it past the Olivet keeper. 

Olivet struck late, finding the equalizer on a deep ball late in the contest to find the equalizer. 

The Britons held the advantage in shots and corners, but could not produce the game-winner down the stretch. 

Albion remains on its home pitch on Tuesday when the team welcomes Hope College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
