Hope drops women's soccer

ALBION – On Wednesday, the Albion College women's soccer team was overmatched by Hope College, dropping a 5-0 contest. 

The Flying Dutch dominated the final 60 minutes game, as the Brits held tough with the visitors early on. After an own goal, Hope scored in the 40th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Out of the half, Hope tacked on three more goals to keep the game in their favori. 

Hope outshot the Britons, 22-6, and had 11 corners to Albion's none. 

Micaela Hohlbein tallied seven saves in goal, as freshman Dakota Blough totaled two. 

Albion has the conference bye this weekend to gear up for another home match against Kalamazoo. The game on Wednesday, Oct. 16 will begin at 7 p.m.
