Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Volleybrits pick up second straight MIAA win

OLIVET, Mich. — Carly Frank's 16 kills lifted the Albion College volleyball team to a 3-1 win over The University of Olivet. With the win, the Britons improve to 2-0 in the rugged MIAA standings. 

Frank's 16 kills led all players, while freshman Kayda Herrick added 12. 

After the Comets won the first set, the Brits fired off three straight wins – including a pair of dominant performances in the final two sets. The Britons were led by freshmen setters Molly Edmunds and Joelle Boeskool. Edmunds recorded 23 assists, as Boeskool finished with 18 in the win. 

Four Albion players totaled double-digit digs, led by 13 from Paige Williamson. Herrick added 12, as Ava Wilcox and Edmunds each tallied 11. Both Williamson and Herrick were solid from the service line, ending with three aces apiece. 

On Saturday, Albion heads to Illinois for two non-league games. The Brits will play Wartburg and UW-River Falls as a tune-up before resuming MIAA action next week.
