Volleyball falls in MIAA Semifinals

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Albion College volleyball team's season came to a close on Friday in the MIAA Semifinals. No. 2 seeded Calvin knocked off the No. 3 Brits in straight sets. 

Sophomore middle Margaret Jones led Albion's offense with seven kills in the match. Molly Edmunds wrapped up a good freshman season with 13 assists, aiding in the Briton offense. 

Paige Williamson led all players with 19 digs in the loss. She was the lone Briton to record double-digit digs. 

Despite holding the lead in the first two sets, Albion could not hold off a talented and veteran Calvin squad. The Knights finished with 16 total blocks, compared to just seven by Albion. Three of Albion's seven total blocks came from Carly Frank. 

Albion's season comes to a close with a 10-23 overall record and third place finish in the MIAA.
