Men's hoops falls in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – A poor shooting night hurt the Albion College men's basketball team, dropping a 73-51 decision to Wabash College. The Britons shot just 37 percent from the floor, as Wabash drained 12 3-pointers in the win. 

Albion was led by fifth year senior Marco Lucchesi. Lucchesi scored 11 points and brought down six rebounds for the Brits. Off the bench, Michael Umeh provided Albion with 10 points, going 5 of 8 from the field. 

As the Britons slowly chipped away at the Wabash lead, by halftime WC built a 35-26 advantage. Out of the half, the Little Giants drained a pair of threes to distance themselves from the Brits for the remainder of the contest. 

Wabash scored 15 points off Albion turnovers. The Britons shot a mere 6 of 16 from the foul line. 

Tomorrow, the Brits close out the tournament with a 1 p.m. tip against Mary Hardin Baylor.
