Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

No. 10 Calvin handles men's hoops

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Taking on the No. 10 ranked team in the nation, the Albion College men's basketball team suffered an 89-50 setback at Calvin University. Calvin held a 47-20 advantage at the half to run away with the conference win. 

AJ Barden was the lone Albion player to finish in double figures. The senior scored 10 points and recorded six rebounds. Freshman Ethan Woolery had another solid showing, scoring eight points off the bench.

The Britons shot just 34 percent from the floor and 20  percent from three. Calvin capitalized on 50 percent of its shots, led by a 20-point effort from Jalen Overway – the MIAA's leading scorer. 

Calvin scored 19 points off 14 Albion turnovers. 

On Saturday, the Britons welcome Hope College for Senior Day. Prior to the game, Albion will honor Lamar Lee, Marco Lucchesi, Zak Krueger and Barden. Tip off is set for 3 p.m.
