ALMA, Mich. – Closing out the regular season, the Albion College men's wrestling team clinched second place in the MIAA with a 40-15 victory over Alma College. In just their third season back as a program, the Brits finished the highest in the league since the program's revival.

The Britons started the night with a 12-0 advantage, courtesy of back to back pins. Sophomore Cade Odrobina began the match with a pin in 4:51 at the 125 class. Josh Mars followed at 133 with another fall, this one coming in 4:47 for an early lead for the Brits.

A pin from the Scots and a pair of forfeits from each team saw Albion holding an 18-12 advantage midway through the match. In the 165 matchup, sophomore Peyton Brooks won by a 16-0 tech fall. Jack Smith continued Albion's winning ways at 174 with a 17-2 tech fall, giving the Britons a 28-12 lead.

Freshman 197-pounder Demond Harrison's magical season continued with a quick pin coming in just 1:13. Ending the night was co-captain CJ Krum's pin in the heavyweight bout (2:54).

Albion will prepare for Regionals, held at Ohio Northern University on Mar. 1-2. The top three placers from each weight class will secure a trip to the NCAA Division III Nationals.
