Men's tennis falls in spring debut

ALBION – Kicking off their spring campaign, the Albion College men's tennis team suffered a 6-3 setback to the University of Saint Francis. 

After doubles play, the Britons trailed 2-1. Albion's lone doubles win came from Drake Malcolm and Brendan Morrison at second doubles. The duo defeated their opponents with an 8-2 win. The Cougars went on to claim the first four singles matches to clinch the match. 

In singles play, sophomore Jacob Doyle picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at fifth doubles. Freshman Jacob Kubiak won his match in a gritty tiebreaker, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2.

Next Saturday, the Brits host Greenville University for a 1 p.m. match.
