Hunt seat recognizes Coburn on Senior Day

ALBION – On Mattison Coburn's Senior Day, the Albion College hunt seat equestrian team placed third at their home show. As a team, the Britons collected 24 points on the day.

In Open Flat and Open Fences, Phoebe Martin placed third in both events. Sophomore Emily Martinez scored in both of her events, taking sixth in Intermediate Fences and fourth in Intermediate Flat.

Katie Woerner competed in Limit Fences, taking sixth, before a fifth place finish in Limit Flat. Also competing in the same events was Simone Taylor, taking fifth in Limit Fences and second in Limit Flat.

Sophomore Lucia Scouten won Novice Flat, Albion's lone winner of the day. In Pre-Novice Flat, Emily Brooks was the runner-up. Also taking second was Katelyn Proshek, this time in Introductory. Rounding out the show for the Brits was Melany Duenas-Lopez with a third place showing in Introductory.

The hunt seat Britons will be in action this weekend at Lake Erie College.
