Beavers tallies double-double in Semifinal loss

HOLLAND, Mich. – Despite a valiant effort and monster night from Daniah Beavers, the Albion College women's basketball team came up just short to the No. 9 nationally ranked Hope College, 78-68. 

Beavers led Albion with 17 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, 13 on the offensive glass. Lolo Reed added 13 points on a 5 of 6 shooting night. DB Edwards added 11 points off the bench while Brazyll Watkins was the other Brit in double figures. 

Hope outscored the Britons 26-17 in the fourth quarter. 

The Britons built to an early lead, but an experienced Hope squad battled back to eventually take the lead. The two teams went into halftime knotted at 35. Hope hit a pair of big 3-pointers late in the contest to eventually seal the win. As a team, Albion committed 21 turnovers.

Albion's season ends with an 18-9 overall record.
