Transylvania drops MLAX

ALBION – Despite a five-goal effort from Marcus Haynie, the Albion College men's lacrosse team dropped a 15-9 decision to Transylvania University.

Albion trailed by two goals at the half, but the Pioneers shutout the Britons in the fourth quarter to create distance and earn the road win. Junior Brendan Mercier scored twice in the loss, while Cal Stearns and Andrew Miller scored the others. 

On the clear, the Britons were 20 of 23. In goal, Bradley Luketic made 10 saves. 

Robbie Dameron made an impact at the faceoff X, going 11 for 22 with 11 ground balls. As a team, the Britons caused 12 turnovers with Logan Bride, Logan Bonner and Haynie each causing two. 

On Saturday, the Britons will host Oberlin College for a 1 p.m. faceoff.
