Yeomen upend MLAX

ALBION – Eight unanswered goals proved to be the difference maker as the Albion College men's lacrosse team suffered a 13-11 setback to Oberlin College. 

In the fourth quarter, the Yeomen outscored the Britons by a 7-0 margin to steal the win. Albion was led by Cal Stearns with four goals and one assist. Senior Vaughn Shewell had a solid day for the Britons, scoring twice and adding an assist. 

Robbie Dameron was 12 for 28 from the faceoff X, picking up eight ground balls. Leading the way defensively was Will Tessin with three caused turnovers. Freshman Luke Szymanski made 14 saves for Albion. 

The Britons return to the field next Saturday with a 1 p.m. matchup against Illinois Wesleyan.
