ALBION – The struggles continue for the Albion College men's lacrosse team, dropping a 15-8 contest to Illinois Wesleyan University. In the third quarter, the Titans outscored the hosts 4-0 to distance themselves from the Brits.
Senior attacker Ethan Rottell led Albion with three points on the afternoon, scoring one goal and dishing out two assists. Cal Stearns was the only Briton with a multi-goal day, scoring twice in the loss.
Sophomore defenseman Logan Bride scored a goal and tallied an assist as well. At the other end, he caused a team-high four assists and picked up four ground balls. Robbie Dameron's six ground balls led the Britons.
In just over 41 minutes of action, goalie Jack Erickson made 13 saves for Albion.
On the clear, the Titans were an efficient 29 of 32, as Albion struggled, converting just 23 of 31 clears.
Albion has one more non-conference game before they open MIAA action. Next Saturday, the Brits host Carthage at 1 p.m. in the first half of a men's and women's doubleheader.
