Haynie's five goals not enough at Centre

DANVILLE, Ky. – A five goal performance from Marcus Haynie was not enough for the Albion College men's lacrosse team, dropping a 16-9 game to Centre College. Tied at halftime, the hosts used a big second half to create distance from the Britons. 

Haynie's five goals led all players on the night. Sophomore co-captain Cal Stearns added a goal and an assist, while Logan Bride paced the Brits with three caused turnovers. Bradley Luketic made a career-high 21 saves for Albion. 

In the second half, the Colonels dominated the game, limiting the visitors to just eight shots in the second half. 

The Britons head back north to continue their gauntlet of a non-conference schedule. On Wednesday, Albion hosts Transylvania for a 5 p.m. faceoff.
