Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's soccer opens season at home

ALBION, Mich, – In their 2024 opener, the Albion College women's soccer team fell to Lawrence Tech University, 3-1. The Blue Devils held possession for a majority of the game, making it hard for the Britons to gain momentum. 

LTU struck twice in the first half  – once in the 21st minute and again 10 minutes later. 

Mia Crawford scored Albion's lone goal in the 61st minute. The senior's goal came off a feed from freshman Claire Gorno. LTU answered immediately less than a minute later, giving the visitors a two-goal cushion. 

Micaela Hohlbein made seven saves in goal. 

On Sunday, the Brits host Carleton for an 11 a.m. match.
