Adrian drops men's basketball

ALBION – A last-second shot fell just short, as the Albion College men's basketball team dropped a tough 73-70 decision to Adrian College. 

In a tight knit game that saw no team truly able to maintain momentum, the Britons were led by Michael Umeh's 16 points. Mekhi Wingfield and Jaylen Flaniken were tremendous off the bench. Wingfield, a freshman, dropped 13 points while Flaniken added 12. 

Albion struggled from beyond the arc, connecting on just 5 of their 20 3-point attempts. 

Wingfield added a career-best three steals for the Britons. Umeh's eight boards paced the hosts in the loss as Flaniken dished out four assists.

On Wednesday, the Britons head to The University of Olivet for an 8 p.m. matchup.
