Lucchesi leads at Olivet, MBB falls to Comets

OLIVET, Mich. – A late lead slipped away from the Albion College men's basketball team, falling 69-66 to The University of Olivet. Over the final five minutes, the Comets outscored Albion by a 15-4 margin. 

Fifth year Marco Lucchesi led the way with a season-high 19 points. Kurtis Rhodes was the only other Albion player to finish in double figures, scoring 15 points – 5 of 8 from the three point line. 

After the first half, the Britons took a slim 30-26 lead into the locker room. Out of the half, the visitors worked to build a double-digit lead over the Comets. Olivey slowly chipped away at Albion's lead, exploding offensively in the final five minutes and capitalizing off miscues made by the Brits. 

Albion turned the ball over 19 times leading to 23 Comet points. 

The Brits head to No. 3 Trine University for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday.
