HOLLAND, Mich. -- After a 7-0 victory over Olivet, the Albion women's soccer team hit the road again in an early conference test against Hope.
Unfortunately for the Britons, their momentum was silenced as they lost, 3-0, to the Dutch at Van Andel Stadium.
It took just less than three minutes for Hope to get on the board, as Lina Rea notched the goal for the Dutch to jump out to an early 1-0 lead.
The Briton defense tightened, as the score remained the same at the half.
However, Olivia Dieppa would provide the Dutch a second-half spark as she scored three minutes into the period to take a two-goal advantage.
Dieppa tacked on her second goal in the 62nd minute in the high left corner to put the icing on the cake for Hope.
The Dutch ripped off 32 shots to Albion's 11.
Chloe Salo and
Kelsi Green each had three shot attempts for the Britons, while
Maddie Welsh had six saves in the first half and
Marleigh Chapman five in the second stanza.
