ALBION, Mich. -- Freshman
Tyler Deubel has earned MIAA Swimmer of the Week honors.
Despite the 159-128 dual meet loss to Alma, Deubel won all three of his individual events.
He was the first Briton to enter the win column individually during the meet when he won the 1,000 freestyle (10:06.63) by 23 seconds.
Three events later, he was victorious in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.12) and later in the 500 freestyle (4:52.57) by 14 seconds.
Deubel is the first Albion swimmer to win the weekly award since
Billy Barr did so back on January 27 of this year.
The Britons will get two weeks off before their midseason meet at the Wooster Invitational from Thursday, December 4 to Saturday, December 6.
