WOOSTER, Ohio – Tyler Deubel was the best finisher for Albion during the first day of the Wooster Invitational at the Chris Mathew Aquatics Center.
The freshman, who earned his first career MIAA Swimmer of the Week award a few weeks ago, placed fifth in the 500 freestyle (4:52.17) in the A final to help the Britons to sixth place overall against nine other teams (193).
Jalen Hung also found himself in the A final competing in the 200 IM. The senior placed seventh in a time of 2:00.66.
Wesley Jenkins was the lone Briton in a B final, as he took fourth in the section in the 500 freestyle (5:02.10).
Harper Prutch (4:56.53) won the C final in the event, while
Evan Steele (5:10.78) also competed.
Brody Roberts competed in the C final in the 200 IM (2:16.47).
As for the relays, the 200 freestyle squad of Prutch, Roberts, Deubel and
Steven Matyas took tenth (1:30.83) while the 400 medley quartet of Hung, Deubel, Matyas and Roberts placed 12th (3:50.03).
