HOLLAND, Mich. — Both Albion swim & dive programs completed their first day of competition at the MIAA Championships.
The men's team ended tied for third with Alma (46 points), while the women's team ended in fifth (28 points). Calvin (58) led on the men's side, and Hope (62) led on the women's.
The men's 800 freestyle relay squad of
Jalen Hung,
Tyler Deubel,
Steven Matyas and
Harper Prutch took fourth in a time of 7:16.10.
The women's quartet of
Emily Evers,
Lilly Marvin,
Kirstie Symons and
Leah Gray in the same event posted a fifth-place time of 9:07.25.
In men's 1-meter diving prelims,
Jeremy Romero took fifth (358.50) and
Cam Thompson placed 12th (236.30).
