HANOVER, Ind. -- The Albion men's basketball team opened the season with a win against Mount St. Joseph, 74-61.
Senior forward Kam Mayes led the Britons with 22 points and 11 rebounds while also adding a block and a steal. Sophomore guard Mason Brodi posted 17 points, senior center Michael Umeh recorded six points and six rebounds and freshman Kurtis Rhodes added five points with two blocks and two steals.
The Britons stayed resilient in the contest, as they did not give up the lead at all, while also having 15 second-chance points compared to Mount St. Joseph's three.
Albion's next game is just two days away, as they will compete against Manchester in their first home game at Kresge Gymnasium on Monday, November 10. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
