MBB wins fourth straight in rout over Alma

ALBION – Winners of four straight, the Albion College men's basketball team dominated from start to finish in an 87-63 win over Alma College. The Britons now move to 9-10 overall, 4-4 in the MIAA. 

Albion went on a massive run the first 10 minutes of the second half to create a comfortable lead. Fifth year Marco Lucchesi led the Brits with 19 points, highlighted by a 9 of 9 mark from the foul line. Sophomore Kurtis Rhodes tied a career-high with 17 points, while Michael Umeh added 12.

The Britons capitalized a victory against a struggling Alma squad. 12 of the 15 players that saw minutes scored in the contest. AJ Barden led all players with 11 rebounds. 

Albion turned the ball over just nine times. Alma committed 17 turnovers, leading to 23 points for the hosts. 

On Wednesday, the Brits head to Kalamazoo College for a 7 p.m. game.
