Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Ray's 19 not enough at Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Despite a career-high 19 points from Dwayne Ray, the Albion College men's basketball team fell short to Kalamazoo College, 83-78 in overtime.

Ray's 19 points led the Britons, while fellow sophomore Truman King also scored a career-best 14 points. King was 4 of 9 from beyond the arc. BJ Hunter added 10 points, as AJ Barden corralled 13 rebounds – six on the offensive glass.

As the teams traded leads and momentum for most of regulation, a late push by the Hornets allowed the hosts to eventually take the lead. Kalamazoo had a game-winner attempt at the end of regulation, but rimmed out to force overtime.

Kalamazoo hit a 3-pointer with 2:23 to play, giving the hosts a five point lead and sealing their win.

The Britons host Olivet on Saturday for a 3 p.m. start.
