Men's basketball knocks off Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. — The fifth year stepped up. 

Pouring in 19 points — including a 9 of 9 mark from the free throw line — Marco Lucchesi led the Albion College men's baseball team to a 76-64 win at Adrian College. The Britons took a 13-point cushion into halftime and held off any Bulldog momentum for the remainder of the game.

Sophomore guards Dwayne Ray and Kurtis Rhodes each finished with 12 points and six rebounds. AJ Barden tallied another double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, as Michael Umeh added 10 points off the bench. 

The story was all Albion in the first half, leading 36-23 at the break. Maintaining control for the rest of the contest, the Brits picked up a much-needed MIAA win on the road. 

Albion completely dominated the inside game, outscoring the Bulldogs in the paint, 38-18. 

The Britons will host Calvin on Wednesday for Senior Night. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
