Esports Week in Review: Feb. 12-15

Below are the results from last week's Albion College esports matchups.

On Wednesday, Rocket League played Saint Joseph's University. Albion Rocket League struggled to get going against a strong SJU team. Game one was a close 1-0 loss, and SJU kept momentum through the next two games putting them on match point. Albion kept it close in game four thanks to a goal from all three players, but couldn't get the final result, losing 4-0.

Fortnite builds tried a new strategy this week that worked in their favor on Thursday. Game one started off a little slow with the team placing 22nd but went on to claim eighth in game two and 19th in game three. That same night, Overwatch 2 played against Mount Aloysius College in ECAC. It was a very tight match overall. With under 30 seconds left it all came down to the captain Miles Slaughter using his Ultimate to push Mount Aloysius off the defence scoring some kills and pushing the cart to victory, giving Albion a 3-2 win.

Overwatch 2 played Olivet Nazarene University in the GLEC on Friday and earned a 3-0 shutout. Rounding out the week, SSBU played against Valparaiso University. After a rough start losing game one, Samuel Lynch turned on the jets and gave the team huge leads in game three. The Brits ultimately won, 2-1.
