Men's tennis picks up non-conference win

ALBION – In a non-conference match, the Albion College men's tennis team knocked off The University of Olivet, 5-2. 

Albion won the doubles point backed by a win at first doubles by Jacob Doyle and Josh Doyle. The juniors defeated their opponents by a 6-3 margin. Olivet took the match at second doubles, with it coming down to Jacob Kubiak and Brandon Blake at third doubles. In thrilling fashion, the tandem won 7-5 to give Albion the point.

In singles action, freshman Alex Beard played first singles and won handily, 6-2, 6-2. At third singles, Jacob Doyle picked up a much-needed win, 7-6, 6-3. Freshman Noah McCollum earned a 6-2, 7-5 win at fifth singles, while Brandon Blake wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.

The Britons head to Florida for their spring break trip, commencing Monday with a match against Moravian.
