Tennis wraps up spring trip

| Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 ORLANDO, Fla. – The Albion College men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up their 2025 spring break trips. The Britons played some tough competition in Orlando, posting an overall record of 1-3 for the men and 0-4 for the women.

MEN'S SCORES

Starting the week off against Moravian, the Britons fell by a 6-1 margin. Albion earned the doubles point, with wins at second and third doubles. Jacob Doyle and Josh Doyle won at second doubles, 6-3, and Jacob Kubiak and Brandon Blaked earned a 6-1 victory.

On Tuesday, Albion knocked off Wartburg, 4-3. The Brits once again earned the doubles point, with the Doyle twins leading the way with a 6-3 victory at first doubles. Alex Beard and Brendan Morrison won 6-3 at second doubles.

At second singles, Beard won with a 6-2, 6-4 mark. Jacob Doyle grinded out a big-time victory at four singles, taking the match 6-3, 7-6 (7-3). Kubiak and Noahsealed the match for the Brits by winning at five singles, defeating his opponent 1-6, 6-2, 10-4.

The Britons fell to Saint Mary's University, 5-2 on Wednesday. Albion swept doubles play to earn the point, with wins of 6-3 (Doyles), 6-2 (Beard / Morrison) and 6-1 (Kubiak / Blake). The singles point was won by Beard at two singles, 6-4, 6-0.

On the final day, Albion dropped another 5-2 decision to Cornell College. Albion's wins came from Beard and Josh Doyle at two and three singles

WOMEN'S SCORES

Playing a tough schedule shorthanded, the Brits dropped their first three decisions by 7-0 margins. Similar to the men, Albion played Moravian, Wartburg and Saint Mary's the first three days of competition.

On Friday, the Britons fell in the final match 6-1 to Cornell College. Albion's win came from Molly Dunn at four singles, 6-1, 6-2.

The women's team will be idle until Mar. 25 when they kick off MIAA competition against Trine. The men will be back in action the following day against the Thunder.
