Golf continues spring competition

ANGOLA, Ind. – Throughout the week, the Albion College men's and women's golf teams have been back in action. The men's team shot a 316 at the Lourdes Invitational on Wednesday. At the Trine Spring Invitational, the women's golf team took fifth overall, showing a 357.

Matt Spniewski and Camden Paul led the men's team, each finishing with a 77 on the day. Ryan Knitter was just two strokes behind with a 79 on the day. Nicholas Giannone shot an 83 and Blake Wagner rounded out the squad with an 84.

Freshman Aubrie Schaibly led Albion by tying for 16th overall and shooting an 86. One stroke back was Taylore Wilson with an 87. Marissa Genske shot a 91 and Miranda McKee finished with a 93. Zoe Autore rounded out the squad with a 96 overall.

Competing as an individual was Riley McKinney, carding a 106.

The women will wrap up their spring season at the MIAA Spring Finale, held Monday and Tuesday. The men's finale will be on May 7.
