MLAX earns No. 3 seed in MIAA Tournament

ALBION – In their regular season finale, the Albion College men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-8 decision to Adrian College. The Britons will be the No. 3 seed in the MIAA Tournament and will host a first round game on Saturday. 

Adrian led 5-1 after one and netted three unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to seal the win. 

Junior Cal Stearns scored a team-high four goals. Luke Schuemann and Andrew Miller each added a goal and an assist for the Brits. 

At the faceoff X, freshman Connor Laidlaw was 12 of 22, picking up six ground balls. Logan Bride also picked up six ground balls and Ben Schollett caused a game-best four turnovers. 

Adrian held the Britons to 0 for 3 on EMOs. 

On Saturday, Albion will host the No. 6 seed for the MIAA Quarterfinal. A time and opponent is yet to be determined.
