MLAX falls in MIAA opener

HOLLAND, Mich. – A massive first quarter by Hope College hurt the Albion College men's lacrosse team, dropping its MIAA opener 15-8. The Flying Dutch led 6-1 after one and 9-2 at halftime to create a big lead over the Brits. 

Senior Fabrizio Raciti led Albion with four points, coming off one goal and three assists. Cal Stearns added a hat trick, while Luke Schuemann scored twice and tallied one assist. 

Hope forced Albion to turn the ball over 24 times in the contest, and held Albion to a faceoff percentage under 50 percent. 

Logan Bride caused a team-best three turnovers. 

Albion will host Kalamazoo on Saturday for Senior Day. Face off is set for 1 p.m.
