BATTLE CREEK, MI -- The Albion College men's gold team opened the 2025-26 campaign on the right foot at the first round of the Lou Collins Memorial Tournmanet, with the Britons in second and sixth place ahead of tomorrow's final round.
The Britons "A" team carded a 310 (+22) to head into the second round just two strokes off from Kalamazoo College, which turned in a team score of 308 (+20). Albion "B" checked into sixth with a score of 321 (+33).
Xander Goss,
Vaughn Rogers, and
Blake Wagner led the charge for the Britons. The trio carded identical scores of 77 (+5) on the 7,020-yard course at Bedford Valley GC to finish the opening round tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard.
Bradley Davis and
Nolan Plasencia rounded out the Britons' presence in the top-10 with identical scores of 78 (+6) to head into round two in a six-way tie for 10th place.
The final round gets underway tomorrow, Saturday, August 30 when the first group tees of at 9:00 am.
