KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Albion College women's volleyball team earned their second sweep in as many matches on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Dominican University (IL). With the win, the Britons improved to 13-2 on the season.
Albion dominated every facet of the match, holding an edge in kills (39-21), aces (12-6), blocks (8-3), assists (38-21), and digs (47-34). The Britons attack flowed effortlessly to the tune of a .438 attack percentage, which marked a season-high.
Carly Frank and
Kayda Herrick paced Albion's offense with 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Frank swung at a stellar .556 clip, while Herrick registered a career-best .632 attack percentage.
On the defensive side of the net,
Margaret Jones totaled a match-best five blocks and chipped in 3 kills.
Paige Williamson registered 11 digs, extending her double-digit dig total streak to 16 matches dating back to last season.
Molly Edmunds continued to pull the strings for Albion, finishing with a match-high 34 assists.
Ava Wilcox chipped in from the service line with match-high five aces to go along with three digs.
