KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Albion College volleyball team carried its burgeoning winning streak into MIAA play on Tuesday evening with a 3-0 sweep of Kalamazoo College.
With the victory, the Britons improved to 14-2 on the season. Albion's offense was rolling against the Hornets, as the Britons hit .356 as a team, their third-best mark this year. The Britons floored 45 kills compared to just 30 from Kalamazoo, while on the defensive side of the net, Albion finished with a 51-44 edge in digs.
A pair of Britons finished in double figures as
Carly Frank and
Kayda Herrick tallied 12 kills apiece. Frank swung at a stellar.458 clip while Herrick finished one dig shy of a double-double with nine.
Margaret Jones and
Bri Whitfield each finished one kill shy of double figures with nine kills apiece while hitting .421 and .438, respectively.
Molly Edmunds posted her 11th double-double of the season with 34 assists and 12 digs.
Camille Oxley finished with nine digs, while
Paige Williamson added seven digs.
Emma Pagliarella chipped in with match-best four blocks.
