FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The MIAA announced the 2026 MIAA Softball Preseason Poll following a vote of the league's nine head coaches.
Albion was picked to finish eighth, while defending national champion Trine was selected as the unanimous preseason favorite after earning all eight first-place votes.
The Britons finished the 2025 campaign with a 5-11 MIAA record and a 16-24 overall mark.
Albion returns junior pitcher and infielder Lilly Zaskowski, junior infielder Jessie Anstandig, and junior catcher/infielder Kiersten Wilkin.
The Britons will get their season going starting March 8 as they head to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for a week-long Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic against 12 schools.
