ALBION, Mich. — The Albion Britons closed out the regular season on a high note Saturday afternoon, defeating the Adrian Bulldogs, 69–55, inside Kresge Gymnasium on Senior Day.
Albion controlled the game from the opening tip and never gave up momentum, using a strong defensive effort to secure the victory.
The first half featured a defensive battle, with the Britons maintaining a five-point advantage heading into the second half. Albion continued to build separation in the second half, extending its lead to eight entering the fourth quarter before pulling away late for its largest lead of the afternoon.
Meghan Trewhella delivered another standout performance, leading all scorers with 30 points while shooting an efficient 70.6 percent from the field. Earlier this month, Trewhella became Albion's single-season scoring leader, reaching the milestone on February 21 at Kalamazoo.
Payton Baker, Anna Honnen, Ava Guilford, and Khaleeya Cook each contributed key performances on both ends of the floor to help the Britons secure the regular-season finale victory.
